Senior Engineer
APRI is currently seeking an individual at the level of Senior Engineer who can make significant
contributions to our PDE program.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of APRI's pulse detonation engine
technology. Responsibilites will include the determination of system and subsystem testing requirements, the
design of gas dynamic tests, and the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of test results. Contributions
to APRI's proposal-writing efforts are expected, and the successful candidate may serve as a principal
investigator on some of APRI's pulse detonation engine research projects.
Qualifications
A doctorate or equivalent experience in the fields of combustion and transient gas dynamics
is required to successfully carry out the responsibilities of this position. Candidates must have the ability
to independently formulate and carry out research projects, and will be expected to be comfortable both in the
lab and performing analysis. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are also a requirement.
